Bleecker Street and World of Wonder have dropped the first trailer for the high-camp action-comedy “Stop That Train!” 🚆✨
Directed by Adam Shankman, the film stars RuPaul as the fabulously fierce President Gagwell, tasked with saving the day when disaster strikes. Packed with iconic RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni, the cast is led by Ginger Minj and Jujubee as best friends Tess and DeeDee—two over-it train stewardesses who swap their dull shifts on the Stank Rail for the ultra-glamorous Glamazonian Express.
But glamour quickly turns to chaos when a catastrophic “Stormaganza” threatens to send the high-speed train hurtling into Los Angeles. Forced into action, the duo teams up with a trio of snobby first-class attendants played by Raven-Symoné, Brooke Lynn Hytes, and Marcia Marcia Marcia—because saving the day is a full-cast event.
The trailer leans fully into camp. President Gagwell demands a situation update, only to be told the Glamazonian Express is “headed into a massive storm.” Her iconic response—“Tell it to me gay”—cuts to Matt Rogers gasping in pure disbelief. As the stewardesses attempt to calm passengers, chaos erupts, all set to the dramatic swell of “O Fortuna.”
Meanwhile, Sarah Michelle Gellar appears as herself, delivering a hilarious moment when a passenger skips the fangirling and instead snaps, “Are you sitting in my seat? I paid for the window.”
The film also stars Rachel Bloom, Lisa Rinna, and Nicole Richie.
Produced by Universal Pictures Content Group alongside Bleecker Street and World of Wonder, “Stop That Train!” is written by Connor Wright and Christina Friel, with producing credits including Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, RuPaul Charles, and Shankman.
Filmed in Los Angeles, “Stop That Train!” races into cinemas on June 12.
