Bulgaria’s Dara has officially won the Eurovision Song Contest 2026! Taking the trophy in Vienna on 17 May, she stormed to victory with an incredible 516 points.
Bulgaria has won the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, Austria. Representing Bulgaria, Dara captivated audiences with her winning entry, “Bangaranga”. The song was written and composed by Anne Judith Wik, Cristian Tarcea, Darina Yotova (Dara), and Dimitris Kontopoulos, helping secure Bulgaria’s Eurovision victory.

With a commanding 516 points, Bulgaria’s Dara and “Bangaranga” emerged as the clear winner, giving Bulgaria victory in the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna.
The result marks Bulgaria’s first-ever victory in the Eurovision Song Contest, making history for the country on the Eurovision stage. 🇧🇬🏆
With her winning entry “Bangaranga”, Dara became the first artist since Salvador Sobral in 2017 to top both the jury and televote rankings. Bulgaria’s previous best result came in 2017, when Kristian Kostov finished as runner-up.
In the lead-up to the contest, Bulgaria emerged as one of the season’s biggest dark horses, surging up the bookmakers’ odds following the second rehearsal in Vienna. Despite the historic win, no discussions regarding the hosting of the 2027 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest have yet taken place.
