Spain has revealed its act for Junior Eurovision 2025 and Gonzalo Pinillos will proudly represent the country in Tbilisi, Georgia. After a competitive selection process featuring more than 270 young singers, broadcaster RTVE chose Gonzalo to perform the lively and imaginative track “Érase una vez” (Once Upon a Time), which was officially released on October 6th.
Who is Gonzalo Pinillos?
Gonzalo Pinillos was born and raised in Madrid and is quickly becoming one of Spain’s standout young performers. He currently studies at the prestigious Katarina Gurska School of Music, where he continues to refine both his singing and piano skills.
Since 2020, he has also built experience in musical theatre. In 2023, he made his professional debut in the Spanish production of School of Rock, a role that showcased not only his vocal talent but also his confidence and stage presence.
Gonzalo cites artists like Aitana, Ariana Grande, and Bruno Mars among his biggest musical influences, a hint of the modern pop energy he brings to the Junior Eurovision stage.
Spain’s Recent Success
Last year, Spain finished 6th at Junior Eurovision with Chloe DelaRosa’s “Como la Lola”, placing 6th in the jury vote and 5th in the public vote for a total of 144 points.
Now, with a charismatic young performer and a fresh new song, Spain is aiming even higher.
“Érase una vez” is already out for fans to enjoy and excitement is building as Gonzalo prepares to bring his storybook charm to Tbilisi later this year.
